To understand Kala Matia, you have to go back in time. The almost mythological time of Greece when women wore flowing, draped and plain dresses. Then, these dresses became lighter and became simple and almost anodyne. Today, they are still there but forgotten and outdated.
We want to make this dress more dynamic by giving it a qualitative note through the choice of simple, soft and easy to care for cotton gauze. The embroidery is also in 100% cotton.
We strive to make everything in Greece: from the manufacturing plant, to the labels while respecting the environment.
The 3 generations of women in our family wear them in all circumstances during the summer on our island of Sporades: at the beach with a swimsuit, in the evening with a belt, in town with a hat... Kala Matia dresses are for all women who have daughters, nieces, cousins, goddaughters, friends... and who wish to simplify the summer by wrapping themselves in a soft and light fabric.
